Ten thoughts after listening to Black Sabbath’s Wheels of Confusion/The Straightener

The opening track off of Vol.4 (1972)

Black Sabbath – Wheels Of Confusion/The Straightener

1. All passion gone sends rumbling hearses with goats on the left, maybe some on the right.

2. Cocaine slides painkiller

                                                     Time to leave now

3. Procession line ‘em up progress in the valley of the white light.

4. A pre-punk moment that anti-heroic beauty inspired. Contemporary relevance vs. just repeating.

5. Entropic counter-culture opens doors but there is no good or no bad, just what is.

6. Obscure living beyond the edges is more important than the artwork itself.

7. Accept the opposite and get back in the noose

Peace present future                                                                                                                 Peace

8. Reaching, chasing the deaths, blue aura sun-halo within.

9. Street-rock detox

Say it to kill it                                                                                                                               Riffs digging a grave

10. Don’t live in the past, it’s evolution of the senses

                                  “the nature of things”
